February 7 - Parent/Teacher Conferences

I got a new shirt today! Annnnnnd I'm finally getting ready more days of the week than not lately so ..... winning!

Little Nora Jane. She's my buddy during the day. She often interrupts what I'm doing or what we're talking about to say, "Mom, I love you so much. I love you clear to the moon and the stars." And she gives the best happy hugs. I love her so much and I'm so thankful that I get to stay home with her during the day.

Haze & Cros. That brotherly bond is never gonna be broken. They adore each other.

Tonight I went to parent/teacher conferences and learned that Andlie & Haze are just as wonderful at school as they are at home. I'm so proud to be their Momma & Bryan is just as proud to be their Daddy.

First I went to Haze's classroom and learned that:
He is an excellent reader! Mrs. Sumsion tested him at Level 4 which is the Kindergarten benchmark for the end of the year and he did great! In all areas: words per minute, accuracy, and comprehension!
He is a respectful boy during class and rarely talks when he's not supposed to.
He is becoming more & more confident with raising his hand to answer a question in a big group!
He is "the sweetest, cutest boy and he's doing so well!"

He filled out his own report card & Mrs. Sumsion said she agreed with everything.

In Andlie's classroom, I learned:
Andlie is an excellent reader! She reads 129 words per minute! Benchmark for 2nd grade is 80 wpm!
She is doing great in math and has improved in this area tremendously from the first of the year!
She has excellent handwriting.
She is "the perfect student and [her teacher] wishes everyone could be like her."
She is very well behaved and a friend to all.

Andlie also filled out a report card & her teacher also agreed with her!

I also snuck a peek at some of her writing on the wall. She's so cute.
